Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions:
Where is the York County BBQ Festival?
- The York County BBQ Festival will be held at the Peach Bottom Township Community Center, and surrounding fields.
The Address is: 5 Pendyrus St, Delta, PA.
Where do I park?
- Visitors to this year’s BBQ festival can park at the Elementary school, adjacent to the Community Center grounds, or down in the field, next to the street fair. You can access the field parking from the Community center entrance. Volunteers will guide you to parking.
Will there be BBQ to Eat?
- Yes, we will have lots of Vendors selling BBQ and other food items throughout the festival.
- There will also be a People’s Choice competition where the public can sample and vote on their favorite Competition Pulled Pork BBQ.
Does the public get to taste the Competition BBQ?
- Yes, we will have sample kits available for the public to taste and vote on their favorite Competition Pulled Pork BBQ. The People’s Choice sampling will be held on Saturday starting at noon.
- Unfortunately, the rest of the Competition BBQ is prepared to be judges by the SCA and KCBS Certified Judges only. Our Backyard and professional chefs are competing for over $10,000 in prizes and a chance to compete the in the national championships.
Can I become a Judge?
- All of the judges at our event are certified by the SCA and KCBS. You can sign up with those organizations to learn how to judge BBQ, and how to obtain your certification.

I can cook BBQ, how do I compete?
- We welcome all local cooks. Want to compete with the best BBQ cooks, then sign up for the Backyard BBQ competition and show off your Chicken Thigh and Pork Ribs skills.
- Do you know how to cook a good steak, then sign up for the SCA Steak Cook-off.
- Do you have a good BBQ Sauce? Then sign up for the free Captain o’ Sauce competition.
- Does your kid like to cook and grill? Then sign them up for the Kid’s Que Beef sliders competition!
- You don’t have to be a member of the SCA or KCBS to compete.
Are Pets Allowed?
- We all love our pets and they are welcome at the Festival. But please be respectful of others and keep you pet on a leash, and clean up after your pet.
